‘d’Animal l’Ogic is the latest solo album from Los Angeles based multi-instrumentalist/producer/ songwriter Dan West. Dan has been described by LA Weekly’s Jonny Whiteside as, “A pop
stylist of rare quality, one whose originality and intimate involvement with music guarantees any listener soul deep satisfaction.”

This is Dan’s third album for Powertool Records (New Zealand)
and he describes the songs as, “My latest collection of pop curios and confections baked with love in the warmth of my soul kitchen.” The album features songs that reflect on the nature of intimate relationships from vicious (“Comments”) to vanilla (‘Gemma & I”).

The album also boasts d’Animal’s second foray into the world of Hip Hop, musing on sexual openness on “No Shame” and further excursions into bossa nova, garage rock, folk and psychedelia which have come to
characterize West’s sonic palette.

Chad Keller (Love/Hate) describes Dan’s music as
“Innocent, psychedelic, poetic and highly addictive. A fun loving fusion of the best parts of Blur, Tame Impala and Beck all rolled into one free spirited sound from the depths of the human heart.”
