about

Enclosures are a band from Melbourne, Australia. Having all grown up in different areas (Marc from Auckland, Natalie from Tasmania, Kerrilee from Queensland and Mia from Western Australia), they came together as a full band in 2011 through a mutual enjoyment of great pop tunes and the liberation in making a huge noise.

After a whole bunch of gigs and a self-titled EP released in 2012, Enclosures are very proud to present their debut album, ‘Scotch Mist’. This album was largely created using rehearsal improvisations recorded with a room mic as a backbone then pieced together and overdubbed to form what would decidedly become songs. True to their ethos, the album demonstrates pop smarts but doesn’t hold back on letting their instruments buzz and wail!

about

PowertoolRecords Auckland, New Zealand

It spits out indie pop classic jams that get us compared to everything from Minutemen, Pixies, Broken Social Scene, WAR and Grand Funk. Deal with it! We can't get away from it. ... more
