Enshrine formed around 2000 with Paul Winstanley (Heath Reef) on drums, Kelly Micheal on guitar / vocals and Angela Forsman on vocals / percussion.

The songwriting thrust came from Kelly Micheal with occasional contributions from Angela Forsman. Both had played in Tabita Rasa, another two piece that became a four piece with James Woods on 2nd guitar and Bernie Brown on the drums.

With a new bag of songs, we attempted an early live set of recordings with the name of Shrine and Gavin Shaw on 2nd guitar (The Lonesome Throats, Childrens Television Workshop, Waste The Earth, The Puddle).

The year 2001-2002 saw a digital workstation from Pagan / Antenna Records being purchased and operating in our living room. The old Teac being employed also 4 tracks 1/4 inch. This period we recorded 5 tracks on 'This, Then Now', playing occasional gigs and paties, often at our house or in the backyard, the band was mostly in the studio.
