  Mixture started off life as one track on a Powertool Records release HERE COME THE BULLET HOLES, in 2003. Originally a one man band, with all parts played by Rich, MIxture formed as a 4 piece to play at an eventual Bullet Holes gig. Rich MIxture, longtime Shaft, and Rock and Roll Machine drummer, recruited Jacqui (Mountain Lion), on bass, Bruce Wurr (Cat Cat Cat), on drums (headhunted from the disintegrating Xanadu) and Cameron Rowe (Shaft), on guitar. The band played around town until the departure of Cameron for his own band The Shallows, leaving MIxture to go forward as a 3 piece. Songs were initially written by Rich but as the band has developed so too have the songs - coming up more organically from practices and jams. EP Picture Of You was recorded in February at Frisbee Studios, and is basically a record of Mixture, this year, as a 3 piece. The songs are pretty much the bands live set and sort of mark the end of an era, as next for the band is the addition of new member Brent Bidlake (Ho-dogs), who will be taking over bass duties, leaving Jacqui free to move over to guitar
