About Plexuz Music Formed 2009 from the remnants of SWEET PIRANHA an original band.

The new band consisted of: Cameron Arbuckle - drums Carol Ann Payne - backing vocals Pieter Kruger - vocals guitars Nicky Kruger - bass guitar Bill MacRae - vocals keyboards guitars

The aim was always to release a cd and move to Australia to promote and perform. This occurred in 2010 with Bill and Carol Ann moving over. Alas Cameron decided to stay in Auckland New Zealand and Nicky is in Cape Town completing his studies. Pieter moved over in 2011 from South Africa We also recorded tracks in Pieter's studio in Port Elizabeth where his brother Eddie Kruger played some awesome drums (we are hoping he will also move to play with us here in Brisbane) We also have some great saxophone on 4 tracks on the album played brilliantly by Mr Tom Karl (we are also hoping Tom will play live with us on a regular basis) So what is PLEXUZ??? It is a reflection of the diverse backgrounds the band comes from.

The two main songwriters are Bill MacRae and Pieter Kruger. Bill has a punk/new wave /80s background, Pieter has a country rock background with a bit of traditional Afrikaner music roots. The music we write is based on our diverse experiences as well. Hence the name of the cd is THE HUMAN CONDITION. The joys the up and downs the absurd and ridiculous our crazy families and our questioning of why humans do what they do!!!

about

PowertoolRecords Auckland, New Zealand

Rough Church was conceived after the demise of Ferdinand, the band that existed from 1994-2003. Baseball, Concrete, rare steamy rain, tumbleweeds and lost poems about dirty chimneys are what influence this band. It spits out indie pop classic jams that get us compared to everything from Minutemen, Pixies, Broken Social Scene, WAR and Grand Funk. Deal with it! We can't get away from it. ... more
